WINNERS OF AMBARTSUMIAN PROJECTS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED
As it has been stated earlier, 100,000 USD from Viktor Ambartsumian International Science Prize will be allocated for the development of Astronomy in Armenia once every two years. This will include research projects (Ambartsumian Research Grants; 50,000 USD), foreign fellowships for Armenian scientists to work abroad (Ambartsumian Foreign Fellowships; 25,000 USD), organization of scientific meetings and schools (Ambartsumian Meetings/Schools; 15,000 USD), students stipendiums (Ambartsumian Stipendiums; 7200 USD) and Astronomy outreach (2800 USD).
After undergoing international peer review and being discussed by the International Steering Committee, Ambartsumian Prize 2018 award-winning projects were announced on 31 May and will be accomplished in 2019-2020.
