YOUNG RESEARCHER’S CLUB

On April 13-14, NAS RA V. Ambartsumian Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory (BAO) will host the second phase of "Young Researcher’s Club" teacher training.

20 school teachers from Aragatzotn, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, Syunik, Shirak, Tavush and Yerevan will participate in the program.

The training will cover the following:

• running a young researcher's club, i. e. how to start, what to pay attention to
• presentation of Astronomy, Physics, Chemistry through experiments and games
• a tour in the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory.

It should be noted that the project is implemented by Armenian Astronomical Society and “Under the Common Sky” Polish NGO.

Among the trainers are Marta Skrzipovska, Ewelina Grądzka (Poland), Marine Chelidze, Natella Bagratishvili, Nato Samkharadze (Georgia).

Within 2 academic years the clubs of all the schools will organize meetings. At the end of 2018/2019 academic year each school will hold an event to share their knowledge and new methodology.
