Young Stellar Objects
-
An Interview of the head of the department Tigran Magakian to "The Star Formation Newsletter"
Activities:
Studies of various phenomena taking place during the early stages of the stellar evolution.
Main interests: young stars activity, especially mass loss and eruptive phenomena; collimated jets and outflows; Herbig-Haro objects; cometary nebulae; inner structure of the outflows and their interaction with interstellar medium; search of star formation regions.
Other directions:
Further development of the observational techniques applied for our studies, including scanning Fabri-Perot interferometry, multi-pupil spectroscopy, middle resolution slit spectroscopy.
Development of software packages for the processing of astronomical data, obtained with 2.6-m telescope.
Cataloging of the nebulous objects
